Firstly, a cordial thankyou to the Editor of the Grapevine for allowing us to use the website.

Conservatives Abroad is affiliated to the British Conservative party, and its primary objective is to bring together expatriate Conservatives in Central Italy to help in the process of winning the next General Election in the UK and to increase the number of Conservative MEPS after the next European elections scheduled for June of this year.

We have another big objective beyond this primary one. We are committed to the concept of a truly democratic European Union built from the grass roots up by the people of Europe, and not to one imposed from on high by a minority group of intellectual elitists. We deplore the corruption and the mismanagement of taxpayers’ money which characterise the present European institutions. We believe that these views are shared by a majority of the British people and by many people in Italy and in other European countries. We are therefore fostering links with the Italian communities in which we live and with expatriate groups from other EU countries

If you think you would like to join us why don’t you come along for drinks at one of our members home in Assisi on Sunday morning 14^th. March, with the option of making up a party for lunch at a friendly nearby restaurant.
